At Mazda Bongo Auto Centre, we understand that every van holds a special place in its owner’s heart. This particular Bongo came to us with some issues and a few budget constraints, but we knew that with the right care and attention, it could be restored to its former glory.
Tackling the Structural Issues
Upon inspection, we found that the rear arches had severely deteriorated, leaving little to no structure behind. Unfortunately, the damage was too extensive for simple patchwork, so we replaced both rear arches entirely. By restoring the structural integrity of the van, we ensured that it would remain safe and reliable for years to come.
Smoothing Out the Details
While the van was with us, we also took the opportunity to fix a few minor dents. These small imperfections were making the van look more worn than it should, and with a little attention to detail, we were able to smooth them out.
A Fresh New Look
After addressing the structural repairs and dents, it was time to give the van a fresh new look. The customer wanted to stick with the original Mazda silver, so we repainted the lower half of the van in this timeless color. To complete the transformation, we also repainted the pop top roof, giving the entire van a clean and cohesive appearance. It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do to revive a vehicle!
Protecting for the Future
Knowing how important it is to protect against future wear and tear, we performed a full underbody underseal. This treatment will help safeguard the van from rust and corrosion, particularly during those wet and muddy adventures. With this additional protection, the van is now better equipped to handle the elements and maintain its new look for years to come.

Despite the initial challenges, this Bongo now has a new lease on life. With structural repairs, a fresh paint job, and a full underbody seal, it’s not only looking great but also well-prepared for the future.
