Recently, a customer brought his cherished Mazda Bongo to our workshop. While the body itself was in remarkable condition—without the usual rust spots around the wheel arches and sills—the paint had started to show signs of wear and tear after over 20 years of faithful service on the road. Faded and tired, the van was due for a refresh, and we were excited to bring this beloved vehicle back to its former glory!
A Fresh Coat of Factory Silver
The customer loved the original look of the van and chose to stick with its beautiful factory silver colour. We applied a full-body respray, restoring the shine and elegance of the van’s exterior. The vibrant silver brought the Bongo’s classic lines back to life, giving it that just-rolled-off-the-production-line look.
Personalised Touch: Custom Decals
Wanting to add a bit of personal flair, the customer opted for custom decals to give the van a unique look. After the new paint had cured, we carefully fitted the decals, adding that extra touch of individuality. These subtle yet stylish graphics complemented the silver paint beautifully, making the van stand out even more.
Refurbishing the Details: Black Trims and Brake Calipers
In addition to the respray, we turned our attention to the van’s black plastic trims. Years of exposure to the elements had left them looking a little worse for wear, so we refurbished every piece to a like-new condition. The fresh, glossy black trims now provide a striking contrast against the silver body.
To complete the transformation, we painted the brake calipers, giving the van a pop of detail that looks sleek and sporty. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference, and these small touches really enhanced the van’s overall look.
Full Underbody Protection
As part of our service, we performed a complete underbody underseal to protect the van from future rust and wear, ensuring that it will continue to serve its owner well for many more years to come. Keeping the underbody in good condition is crucial for long-term protection, especially for a van that has spent decades on the road.
