A Full Engine Replacement Done Properly
Rather than patching the existing engine and hoping for the best, we replaced the engine with a low-mileage unit.
However, simply swapping engines is never enough. If you are going to do it, you do it properly.
Alongside the replacement engine, we fitted a full timing belt kit, including a new water pump and seals. We replaced the rocker cover gasket, performed a full service, and ensured everything was set up correctly from day one.
The cooling system was flushed and refreshed, giving the new engine the best possible start in its new home.
This was not a quick fix. It was a proper reset.
Supporting Repairs for Peace of Mind
While the engine work was underway, we also addressed other areas that could affect safety and reliability.
This included welding repairs to the inner and outer sills to ensure the van would pass a legitimate MOT. We replaced worn components such as brake parts and carried out additional repairs where needed.
Small issues were addressed at the same time because it makes no sense to invest in an engine without ensuring the rest of the van is ready to support it.
Everything was brought up to a standard that allowed the owner to drive away with confidence.
