This Mazda Bongo Silver restoration took a worn, corroded van and turned it into something that genuinely stands out. Not just cleaner, not just repaired, but properly transformed into a van that feels ready for years of use ahead.
Arrival in Poor Condition
When this Bongo came to us, it was showing all the usual signs of age.
The wheel arches had deteriorated, corrosion had taken hold, and the overall appearance had lost its impact. It was the kind of van that still had potential, but needed the right work at the right time.
Left alone, it would only have gone one way.
Instead, the owner chose to invest in a full restoration of a Mazda Bongo Silver and bring it back properly.
Welding Work and Structural Repairs
As with most restorations, the first step was dealing with the underlying issues.
We fitted genuine rear wheel arches and carried out all necessary repairs to restore the structure and remove corrosion from the affected areas. Every problem with the bodywork was addressed properly before any paintwork began.
This stage is where the van’s future is decided. Get this right, and everything that follows lasts.
Underseal Protection for Long-Term Use
To protect the work carried out, the van received an underseal top-up.
This adds a protective layer to the underside, helping to guard against moisture, road salt and everyday wear. It is a key part of making sure the restoration holds up over time, not just in the first few months after completion.
Riviera Blue Transformation with Black Contrast
With the structure sorted, it was time for the transformation.
The van was fully resprayed in Porsche Riviera Blue, one of our most popular colours for a reason. It delivers a bright, clean finish that instantly lifts the vehicle’s look.
To contrast, the roof, mirrors, and spoiler were finished in black, giving the van a sharper, more modern appearance.
The front and rear bumpers were painted, and all black plastic trims were refurbished to match. New Mazda decals were applied to complete the look.
This is where the van truly changed.

Brand New Wheels and Tyres
The original alloy wheels were beyond saving due to heavy corrosion.
Rather than trying to repair them, we supplied a full set of alloy wheels, fully refurbished and fitted with four brand new Dunlop tyres. New valves were installed, and everything was balanced correctly.
This not only improves the look of the van but also enhances how it drives and feels on the road.
Completion and Final Touches
To finish the build, we added complimentary floor mats with logo and new number plates, also branded to match.
The van was supplied with 12 months MOT, ready for its next chapter.
Every detail was considered, from the structural work underneath to the final visual touches.
